With a mission to tell compelling stories, Michael J. Wilkins has nurtured his artistic abilities by attending Tacoma School of the Arts and the School of Visual Arts, NYC. Through devout training, countless test shoots, and assisting American portrait photographer, Dawoud Bey, Wilkins has been able to cultivate a distinctive cinematic personal style that has been deemed as “timeless.”
With a duration of time strictly apportioned to freelance photography, Wilkins was able to build connections with talent agents from Click, APM, Wilhelmina, and Major Model Management - for the orchestration, scheduling, and production of a creative team for the 48hr delivery window of comp card images; Later building a long-standing connection with the Tacoma Art Museum and amassing 3k followers on Depop (app) through an identifiable brand image - where he sold a vintage collective archive, and was featured as their Top Seller within their menswear category.
Michael J. Wilkins completed his bachelor’s in Strategic Communication through the Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University (WSU), and is currently working on the Sales Enablement - Strategic Projects and Campaigns team at FedEx, while gearing up to graduate with a master’s in Strategic Communication from WSU, December 2026.
